Trålverket (The Trawler Workshop) buys a lot of what it needs second-hand. There is plenty of kitchen equipment, furniture and decor on the used market that is good for the environment and the wallet.

We are situated on Dyrön and we make a point of hiring local people from the area. Hiring young, inexperienced staff is demanding, exciting, and rewarding. From a social perspective it is positive, as team members and their families often choose to spend their holidays locally.

Trålverket works closely with other local companies, this is the key to making our business work. We help each other on the island by sharing resources such as our team, raw materials, equipment, and much more. It is a sustainable collaboration that makes us strong.

In our restaurant it is important to work with the best ingredients. We make an effort to source good vegetables, and our first choice is always that the fish we serve comes from nearby waters if possible. We are part of the Local Menu project and are working to get even more food from the local area onto the menu.
