Lugnåsberget Ekohotell

Lugnåsberget Ekohotell in Mariestad is serious about recycling. We take old building materials and transform them into something new – for example, we have built a small storage room using panelling from one of our other buildings where we expanded the dining room. We also use torn or worn textiles to sew new useful things.

Our solar panels were installed in 2019. To promote the benefits of this type of energy production we have a display outside that shows guests and local residents how much energy we produce.

To encourage our guests to engage in sustainable activities we offer several different packages linked to the global sustainability goals – these include, for example, litter picking, building birdhouses or cooking over an open fire.
