Restaurang Brygghuset

At Restaurant Brygghuset we have always been keen to invest and consequently benefit the local businesses in Skaftö. Slipens Hotell was built in 2016, has contributed to more year-round activity, and benefited the whole island – this has been particularly positive for our restaurant and the opportunity to get more full-time employees.

We collaborate with local fishermen, and seek out locally produced products and ingredients, and seasonally adapt the menu. During the off-season, we host music evenings with famous artists. We do this to maintain an active destination and contribute to local life even in the winter months.

We have a good collaboration with Slipen’s Hotel and also other businesses on the island who can take our guests out for activities such as lobster fishing or kayaking. This gives guests a memorable experience while we keep the revenue local.

During the Christmas season, we usually organize a bus between Uddevalla and Brygghuset to encourage more people to take public transport. Much of our income goes to investments on the island – the most recent example being some new padel courts.
