On the border between land and sea, next to the Nordic Watercolour Museum, lies Vatten Restaurang & Kafé, serving hearty and elegant dishes prepared in a modern Nordic style.
The kitchen focuses on organic and locally produced seasonal ingredients, offering a varied menu with an emphasis on delicacies from the sea’s pantry.
Vegetarian, vegan, and meat options are also available on the menu.
The resturant operates a modern waste disposal facility designed with a focus on sorting and sustainability management system, with clear signage and container labels. A cardboard press is used to reduce waste volumes. Solar panels have been installed on the museum’s roof to provide more sustainable electricity.
Vatten Restaurang & Kafé is open year-round and is an important part of the Nordic Watercolour Museum’s operations.
