Skotteksgården Camping & Stugby
Skotteksgårdens Camping & Stugby has special rates that are designed to encourage guests to stay more nights. The longer they stay the more money they save, based on the average price per night.
We gladly recommend nearby restaurants and attractions and love to give guests tips on our favourite spots to explore. There are a number of activities at the campsite that don’t have any environmental impact at all. For instance we hire out bicycles, electric bikes, canoes, rowing boats and pedal boats. There are walking trails around the site and we encourage our guests to walk or cycle into town.
Skotteksgården works with the local activity company Outdoor Support who lead guided walks and teambuilding activities.
Almost all our employees live in the municipality of Ulricehamn which is a benefit to the area. In addition all the businesses we use for maintenance and repair work come from Ulricehamn. Our facilities are also open to the general public – so everyone can enjoy the swimming and play areas for example.
We help the environment by sorting waste. There are three different facilities around the site where guests can sort household waste, paper, plastic and cans. Light bulbs and batteries are collected in reception.
Most of the light bulbs on the campsite have been changed to LEDs and we have also installed solar ventilation fans in the cabins and apartments for heating and ventilation during autumn and spring. There are solar thermal collectors and solar panels on all the facility blocks, the reception and restaurant.
We are currently creating a new website which will include information on Climate Smart holidays and how to calculate your holiday’s carbon footprint.
