Kajkanten Vrångö
Vrångö is an island and it is car-free, so public transport is the only way to get here, and visitors mostly get around on foot. Kajkanten Vrångö promotes Västtrafik’s travel planner to make it easy for our visitors to plan their trip and find their way here.
We are a hotel with conference facilities and accommodation in quayside cabins. We can arrange sustainable activities for our guests such as nature walks and kayaking. We organise beach cleaning and plogging together with young people on the island – to keep it clean of course, but also so that children and young people gain an early understanding of the importance of taking care of nature and their surroundings.
We award an annual sustainability grant from Kajkanten’s environmental fund. This contribution has supported such things as food for cleaning patrols on the island, and the leisure association’s swimming school and outdoor gym.
Kajkanten Vrångö is also part of an island collaboration where we work with other stakeholders on Vrångö to offer guests a joined-up experience of accommodation and food. We also employ people who live on the island.
