Salta Guiden

Salta Guiden offers guided experiences and activities all year round, for groups, conferences and individuals. I work with nature activities and with cultural tourism, where a location or a landscape is experienced so that the visitor develops a relationship to the place. Salta Guiden also works with incoming travel agencies and cruise lines. In addition to my own tours I can make arrangements for places to visit, accommodation and boat tours.

Bohuslän and Dalsland have a fantastic landscape and culture. Salta Guiden can take you closer to nature for hiking, kayaking or dining experiences, for cultural walks in villages and on islands, and also boat tours in the beautiful West Coast archipelago. As a committed outdoor person, I share with you the joy of nature and the sea. At work I am an ambassador for a destination or an area. A guided experience gives guests insights to a place, which leads to a deeper relationship with it. What you care about, you care for. I cover topics such as conservation projects, plastics in the sea, Sweden’s share of renewable electricity, the right of public access and the way Swedes work with recycling and pristine landscapes.

At work I make sustainable choices and contribute to a sustainable hospitality industry:

Nature tours: Hiking and kayaking have a low impact on the environment. Our groups are small to reduce the impact on nature. The principle is: “leave only footprints, take only photos and rubbish”. Salta Guiden collaborates with Västkuststiftelsen (The West Coast Foundation) to showcase nature reserves and to share knowledge and joy about our landscapes. Salta Guiden is a member of Naturturismföretagen.

Cultural tours: Salta Guiden offers group programmes to travel agents, which encourages groups to choose West Sweden as a destination for their trip. In this way, Salta Guiden generates multi-day hotel bookings, visits to restaurants and destinations and spreads knowledge about Bohuslän and Dalsland. Guests arrive by bus or ship to West Sweden.

Low season: Specifically organised outside the summer period. Reasons for travel are highlighted and programmes include Saturday and Sunday to generate overnight stays. Lectures in rented facilities and restaurant visits are also included.

Partner companies are carefully selected that are open all year round and that have local roots and local employees, who work with sustainability and local, seasonal ingredients. This can mean, for example, that we serve caged crayfish instead of trawled. By doing this we suppport local companies and contribute to a destination being open all year round.
