At Hyssna Forest Resort, we offer accommodation close to nature. The location is an old family farm with great cultural and historical value, surrounded by beautiful scenery and rich nature. The well-known Hyssna Trail runs right through our property.

We are passionate about preserving and developing Hyssna Forest Resort in a sustainable way, creating a place where people can relax and enjoy everything the forest and its surroundings have to offer. We provide various types of accommodation as well as opportunities to host different events and gatherings with us.

Our buildings and construction methods have been shaped by nature, with great care taken to minimize our impact on the environment. There are no driveways leading to the buildings, which means that even now, with our business fully up and running, the environmental footprint remains very small. All our houses have been surface-treated by burning the wood, providing natural protection against rot.

Sustainability is at the core of our philosophy and comes naturally to us. We always strive to work with and support local suppliers when making purchases or planning collaborations. Whenever possible, we prioritize environmentally friendly and locally produced alternatives, choosing products with eco-labels and constantly striving to reduce our energy consumption.

When it comes to packaging and recycling, we prefer paper and glass packaging over plastic, and of course, recycling is a given for us. We encourage our guests to make use of the recycling facilities provided on-site. Our guests also experience the effects of our way to work. We use organic and environmentally certified hygiene products, avoid single-use towels, and have food delivered in reusable glass containers.
